Garret^5 Van Wicklen (Garret^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 1 March 1774 and bap. 24 May 1774 in Norwich, Chenango, NY. He married Sarah Underhill 27 November 1799 in Newtown Presbyterian Church, Chenango, L.I. He died 22 December 1851 in Dutch Reformed Cemetery, Newtown, L.I. (grave stone in L.I. Cemetery says 76 y, 9 mo, 22 d). Sarah Underhill, dau. of Jonathan and Hannah (Hyatt) Underhill, was b. 27 October 1777 and bap. 25 Jan 1778 (Grace Episcopal Church, Jamaica, NY) and she died 31 October 1844 in Newtown at age 67-0-4 and was buried in the Dutch Reformed Cemetery, Newtown.

Children: Hannah^6 Van Wicklen was b. 15 January 1801 and bap. 12 April 1801 in Bushwick, King's, NY and d. 21 May 1830 at age 28-4-12. She is bur. with her parents in Newtown RDC Yard, L.I. Garret^6 Van Wicklen was b.1804 in Norwich, L.I. and m. Catherine Smith 11 November 1837 (2nd marriage?) in Newtown, L.I. Helena^6 Van Wicklen was b. 1803 and bap. 12 February 1804 in Bushwick, Kings, NY She m. Walter WAY 27 February 1823 in Jamaica Queens Dutch Church. She died November 1853; Jane^5 Eliza Van Wicklen was b. 1815 in Newtown, L.I. and m. John SMITH 27 February 1833 in Jamaica Queens Dutch Church. They had at least two sons, Garrett^7 Van Wicklen Smith and Wells^7 Lott Smith. Jonathan^6 Underhill Van Wicklen was b. 16 Jan 1818 and bap. 12 April 1818 in Newtown RDC, and m. Hannah Sharp Williams 14 November 1844. He died 4 July 1894 in Brooklyn, NY. Phebe^6 Matilda Van Wicklen was b. 11 September 1820 and bap. 11 February 1821 in Newtown RDC, L.I. She married James H. Areson, 7 January 1844.
